Description

Maca, also known as Peruvian ginseng, has long been used to support energy and virility. Historically it was given to warriors to nourish them while improving energy for long battles. Still growing and sourced today in the Andes mountains of Peru, this starchy root vegetable has gained popularity in modern supplements to support women's and men’s health, libido and energy. Health First Maca contains a certified organic blend of red, black and yellow maca and is sustainably harvested in Peru. An important thing to know about maca is never to consume it raw, as it’s almost impossible for our digestive systems to break down. Peruvians use the cooking process of gelatinization to boil down their maca, and then they grind it into a powder for medicinal purposes. Health First Maca is also gelatinized to ensure you are reaping all of its wonderful benefits!
